Brisbane Bulldogs Tug-of-War
News Pulletin No 6

A post mortem of the Goodna Jacaranda Festival Tug of War held on 31 Oct 04 is as follows: 1. While the weather may have been a little warm we can be reasonably happy with our stamina and recovery at this early stage of training. 2. Our footwork and technique was largely negated with the ground being as soft as rock and almost impossible to get into. 3. Remember: Practice makes perfect! Use your training rope often!

Our women did well with just a little training and in the case of the Norths-QUT Women’s Rugby Team Members had no training but remained enthusiastic and in good spirits throughout the comp. Where can we find another 10 women like that? As for Bracken Ridge TOW keep on the search for men and women tug prospects. Keep working on your general fitness.

Training on Sunday 14 Nov 04 is at Masters Gym at 0945 hrs (16 Graham Rd, Carseldine) after training we will have a BBQ and play beach volleyball, swim etc. Bring your family, refreshments, and meat. Salads, sauces etc will be provided.

Famous Quote; “Those big bastards have a lot of weight” (Craig Gooch, 31 Oct 04 at the Goodna Tug of War) after being beaten by our own heavyweight team).
